Embroider facial features and belly button. Chain in/sew in hair.

Fins in light blue sew to bottom of tail (make 2)

Row 1 Sc in back bar of 2nd ch from hook and in back bar of each remaining ch across—20 sc.

Row 2 Ch 1, turn; skip first st, sc in BL of next 10 sts, leaving remaining sts unworked—10 sc. Row 3 Turn; sc in BL of first 10 sts—10 sc.

Row 4 Ch 1, turn; skip first st, sc in BL of next 8 sts, sc2tog in BL of next st on Row 3 and in next st on Row 1, sc in BL of next 8 sts on Row 1—17 sc.

Row 5 Ch 3, turn; sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next ch, sc in BL of next 17 sts—19 sc.

Row 6 and 7 Repeat Rows 2 and 3—10 sc.

Row 8 Ch 1, turn; skip first st, sc in BL of next 8 sts, sc2tog in BL of next st on Row 7 and in next st on Row 5, sc in BL of next 7 sts on Row 5—16 sc.

Row 9 Ch 3, turn; sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next ch, sc in BL of next 16 sts—18 sc. Rows 10 and 11 Repeat Rows 2 and 3—10 sc.

Row 12 Ch 1, turn; skip first st, sc in BL of next 8 sts, sc2tog in BL of next st on Row 11 and in next st on Row 9, sc in BL of next 6 sts on Row 9—15 sc.

Rotate work to work in ends of rows. Work 5 sc evenly spaced across edge of fin (this becomes top edge of fin).

Fasten off, leaving a long tail.

Round 2: Chain 2, (Dc2inc, 1 sc) 3 times (9 sts).
Round 3: Turn, chain 2, dc in each dc.

Fasten off.

Join with as many chain stitches as you require and sew to body.
